I realized something: language has power

🎤 From F-Bombs to Flip-Flops: What I Learned About Swearing in Public Spaces or even at Home. 🧠

I’ve had two moments that taught me the hard way how powerful words can be — especially in public speaking.

🗣️ First, I gave a talk at Toastmasters explaining 30 meanings of the word “ass” in English. Let’s just say… it didn’t go over well.

⚖️ Then, someone literally took me to court because I said the word “fuck.” Yup, court.

I realized something: language has power — and not everyone hears the same thing the same way. What’s normal to me might be offensive to someone else, especially in professional or mixed settings.

So now, I use some creative clean swaps that let me express myself without getting kicked off the mic or into a courtroom:

💩 Instead of “Shit” → Try “Shoot” or “Dang”
🤬 Instead of “Fuck” → Try “Freak,” “Fudge,” or “Flip”
😤 Instead of “Ugh” → Try “Grrr” or “Man…”
😇 Instead of “God!” → Try “Gosh,” “Geez,” or “Holy moly”

We can still keep our vibe real — just with a little more care.

🧠 Communication isn’t just about what you say, it’s also about how it lands.
